Restaurant & Bar

We have three individual bars each catering for our varied clientele. The Lounge Bar with its fine oak beams and fascinating archive photographs of the building is the perfect place to enjoy a hearty, freshly cooked meal from our seasonal menu. Our Farmers Bar is perfect putting the world to rights over pint and the Back Bar has pool tables, two big screens and is very popular.

We are renowned for our two signature dishes namely The Rock Inn’s famous homemade Jail Ale & Dartmoor Steak Pie and our delicious homemade Cottage Pie “just like Granny used to make”.

We offer 5 choices of local meats for our delicious Sunday Roast Dinner and also a vegetarian option is available.

Our menu is extensive and our Chef prides herself on using local produce and suppliers. There is something for all tastes on our menu

All our bars offer a fine range of wines including Sharphams Dart Valley Wine from Totnes in South Devon. Our Real Ales are all from the Westcountry and include Jail Ale from Dartmoor Brewery located near the prison at Princetown. Even our Ciders are local as they come from Sams in Winkleigh and Rattler from Cornwall.

Sally & Susanna’s Famous Devonshire Traditional Cream Teas are another delight not to be missed.
